Reverend Stephen Holmes M.Theol

Welcome to our website!

I am Stephen Holmes, Vicar of St. Luke’s Bournemouth and I was born in the parish 54 years ago. I studied at St. Andrews University and Chichester Theological College under John Hind, the present Bishop of Chichester. In 1986 I was ordained at Southwark and did two curacies at Croydon Parish Church and Tewkesbury Abbey in Gloucestershire. In 1992 I became Vicar of St. Luke’s, Bournemouth. I am also the Actors’ Church Union Chaplain to the Pavilion and the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC).

Visitors to the town and especially members of the acting profession will always receive a warm and friendly welcome at St. Luke’s, which offers a beautiful and inspiring form of worship.
